Two yarn systems, one structure

Woven fabric is formed by interlacing lengthwise warp yarns with crosswise weft yarns. Plain, twill and satin are the three basic weave families. Fibre content and weave are separate choices: polyester describes the material, while twill describes the structure.

Preparation matters

Before weaving, the warp is arranged, prepared as appropriate for the yarn, and drawn through the loom elements. Consistent tension and correct alignment help avoid irregularities. The chosen yarn size and the number of warp and weft threads influence coverage and the final fabric appearance.

A practical production brief

For a useful first enquiry, share a physical reference or clear photographs, the intended use, fibre composition, target weight and finished width. Ask which details need sampling before a quotation. Record the agreed specifications so the sample and production discussions refer to the same target.
